Completely Naked Woman Attends Art Basel in High Heels

German performance artist and psychologist Milo Moiré tried to attend Art Basel — which happens every year where the borders of Switzerland, Germany, and France meet — completely naked. With just the words of clothing items written on the appropriate body parts, she walks down a residential street, gets on a train and then queues for a ticket until a security guard tells her to put her clothes on. What was she thinking?

According to Moiré’s blog, the naked performance is called ‘The Script System’ and is inspired by the script theory of cognitive psychology. It deals with the stereotypical course of events we live by everyday that are ever-recurring. She wanted to challenge this blindness to our surroundings because she says that — especially when we’re on our daily trip to work — we often function without actively perceiving our surroundings. So, the idea was to make the invisible visible to create freedom of thought.

L’Odyssée de Cartier

Three months in the making, “L’Odyssée de Cartier” features Shalom Harlow as the quintessential Cartier woman, proudly exuding strength, beauty, and poise, with Cartier‘s symbol and regal muse: the panther. (03:32)

The three-and-a-half minute film follows these two enigmatic figures through an exploration of the brand’s worldwide cultural influences, including places such as China, France, India, and Russia. “L’Odyssée” depicts the unfolding of the Cartier story and celebrates the worlds of design and luxury.

A screening of “L’Odyssée de Cartier,” a short-film celebrating the Cartier‘s rich history and signature style, took place at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York on February 29. The film was directed by advertising director Bruno Aveillan and was released to wider audiences on March 4 via the Internet and prime-time television.
