Chantal describes her album as a bit of an experimental endeavour, saying ‘I wanted to explore the concept of actual weightlessness, not something that was photoshopped and how that effects the way a body moves and the control that is needed to keep everything together. Through this experiment I discovered that every photograph had a sense of entrapment to it. People always say they wish that they could fly and to be free as a bird, but does that really imply freedom from yourself?’ We love the fluidity and dream-like quality Chantal’s images have.
