Tossed Paint in 3500th of a Second: Colourant by Floto & Warner

New York-based photographers Jeremy Floto and Cassandra Warner have caught our attention with their eye-popping photography. With the use of colourful smoke, deserted landscapes and buildings, the husband and wife duo have created a series of colourful liquid images, splashing in mid-air titled Colourant. It’s a feast for your eyes — the paint splashes look like sculptures that glisten whilst hovering in mid-air. They were shot at a speed of 3500th a second without the use of Photoshop. Enjoy!

EVERYBODY STREET | NYC IN FRAMES

Everybody Street is a documentary by photographer and documentarian Cheryl Dunn that pays homage to one of the most culturally and visually stimulating cities — the sometimes mean but always mighty New York City. Being a drawcard for impulsive adventurers from across the globe and rich in history as well as forward-thinking movements, the vibrant city has of course developed an animated streetlife. It thus seems natural for Dunn to focus on those who, through immersing themselves in the cold and colourful happenings, let this life live on through their lens. Everybody Street features New York’s best-known street photographers, such as Bruce Davidson, Jill Freedman, Joel Meyerowitz and Mary Ellen Mark, who have been documenting the city for years.

Storming through the streets of New York for the latest Vogue editorial is our favourite French duo Daft Punk alongside the beautiful Karlie Kloss. An ode to ‘Inspired New Evening-wear’, photographer Craig McDean creates a superlative affair of style between the musos, model and uptown New York. The duo sports their signature Hedi Slimane for Saint Laurent suits, while Kloss’ electric aesthetic is thanks to shimmering, textured designer gowns by the likes of Chloé, Alexander McQueen and Gucci.

We Do Phoshop

On June 26, a Korean language Facebook page called ‘We Do Phoshop‘ appeared online. The site solicited Photoshop requests, and the ensuing shops weren’t exactly what clients had in mind. Or what anyone had in mind, for that matter. We all agree that these Koreans are making the internet a better place. Here are a few examples of some requests made and the results:
