ISO has released the official music video for their latest single ‘Heaven’, which is their third single from their fourth studio album titled Piece by Piece (2012). Back in 2011, the team at one small seed got a chance to follow the band on their journey to perform at Synergy Live… Check out both videos below!

ISOHeaven (2013)

‘Heaven’ is the first single from Piece by Piece that is in a minor key. It has an epic chorus coupled with a sad and melancholic verse. It differs significantly from the first two singles which were up-beat and more dance-orientated. The lyrics are also more vague and mysterious.

Richard Brokensha from ISO came up with the concept of being buried alive by the rest of the band and the video was shot over the course of two days in Pretoria East. His concept became the basis for an entire story-line which plays out over the course of the video, which was directed by Dave De Gasperi. After a long night out, Alex, Franco and Marko are on their way home when they hit Richard with their car. They then decide to bury him and leave no loose ends.

‘Heaven’ is a dark song and we felt the video should incorporate that feeling. Whereas ‘No Fire’ was a bright and clean sounding tune, ‘Heaven’ is epic, yet eerie. The video encapsulates this feeling and highlights the different nuances in the music through solid editing and clever cinematography.
