For the release of their seventh studio album Loud Like Love last year, teen-angst rockers Placebo brought out an internet show titled ‘LLLTV’ streamed live from the YouTube Studios in London. It was the first YouTube live stream of its kind, featuring the band performing new and old audience favourites, interviews and guest appearances by people who collaborated with Placebo on the making of the album. Carrying on the creative spirit, they made a Limited Edition Box Set version of the album available, which featured a DVD of videos to the album’s tracks directed by emerging directors. And, to make things exciting, they released each of the music videos created for the set separately on Facebook over the last nine days (3 – 11 March 2014). While the album has received criticism for being ‘simply okay alt-rock’, the videos — each of them conveying a select message — could give the songs that missing flavour. Here are four of the nine, enjoy!
